As with many of you, I have had the pleasure of experiencing many different stages of life. Each stage presented numerous opportunities that have been exciting and extremely fulfilling … in addition to the pains and heartaches.

From a very early age I chose to take the path that was influenced by creativity and artistry. My artistic journey originally emerged from movement and form. It was first cultivated through my years as a dancer with a Houston ballet/jazz company. My current interest and work focuses on figurative paintings that capture the fluidity and expression that I discovered through dance. This evolution from performance to visual art reflects my core artistic philosophy: making the invisible visible through creative expression.

My artistic credentials span multiple creative disciplines, including roles as a fashion illustrator and art director for a prominent fashion/home furnishings company and an award-winning interior designer and Professional member of ASID.  From all these careers I’ve cultivated a sophisticated understanding of space, color, and composition to apply to my current work.

So with a lot of hindsight from the lessons I have learned, I now have the honor and pleasure of combining my bits of wisdom … and a lot of opinions … into a community to share with all you Boomers who are eager to keep the fires burning !

A Bit More About Me …

One of Terri's desires and ambitions was always to share her knowledge and experience to help elevate the journey of others. Her unique perspective on how one creates their own environments and life experiences was a perception she held since childhood. That perspective on life, along with a broad range of experiences and curiosity and interests is what brought to fruition RBF - The Brand, which includes RBF Boomer, RBF Gallery, and RBF Emporium … with the belief that art is the fuel that makes all aspects of life so fascinating — and that it is within reach for all humans to embrace, given the right mindset and awareness.

The RBF Boomer Code of Values

1. Freedom Above All
Our freedom is priceless, and we won’t sell it off for comfort, conformity, or approval. We’ve lived long enough to know that peace of mind is worth more than any possession. As RBF Boomers, we protect our independence fiercely—because every time we say “no” to what drains us, we’re saying “yes” to what makes us truly alive.

2. Self-Defined Worth
We are not defined by titles, trends, or the size of our retirement account. Our worth was never meant to be tallied by other people’s scorecards. We’ve learned that confidence grows from the inside out, and we don’t wait for someone else to stamp us as “enough.” RBF Boomers declare it for ourselves—and invite others to do the same.

3. Authenticity Over Illusion
We know happiness can’t be bought in a bottle, packaged in a trend, or filtered through an app. Real joy doesn’t need airbrushing. While others may be chasing illusions, we claim authenticity—even when it’s messy, imperfect, or doesn’t fit neatly into a square. We invite our community to show up unfiltered, because realness is the new luxury.

4. Courage to Stand Apart
We’ve spent enough time watching the crowd rush toward the latest fad. Not us. We step off the conveyor belt of “shoulds” and create our own pace. That’s not rebellion for rebellion’s sake—it’s freedom in action. RBF Boomers are living proof that the bravest path is often the one less traveled.

5. Wisdom in Simplicity
More stuff, more drama, more noise? Hard pass. We’ve discovered the magic of subtraction: clearing clutter, trimming the excess, and savoring what truly matters. Our homes, our time, and our hearts all thrive on simplicity. The less junk we carry, the more room we make for joy, connection, and growth.

6. Unshakable Integrity
We don’t play pretend and we don’t do smoke-and-mirrors. Integrity is our backbone, and it doesn’t bend for convenience. RBF Boomers keep our word, live our values, and own our missteps. Because the truth is easier to carry than a mask—and it’s the only thing that stands the test of time.

7. Inner Peace as Power
Peace is not weakness; it’s our secret weapon. We protect it from the drama-dealers and the energy vampires like it’s sacred treasure—because it is. Inner calm is the edge that allows us to weather storms, speak with clarity, and laugh when the world is taking itself too seriously. That’s real power.

8. Respect for Time
Time is the only thing we can’t earn back, so we refuse to waste it. We cut ties with obligations that suffocate us, decline invitations that drain us, and dedicate our hours to what lights us up. Every RBF Boomer knows: time isn’t money—it’s life itself. Spend it wisely, live it boldly.

9. Strength in Independence
We don’t need to borrow our choices from anyone else’s playbook. Our independence is non-negotiable, and we embrace the responsibility that comes with it. This isn’t about going it alone—it’s about owning our voice, our path, and our power. We’ve traded dependence for self-direction, and we wouldn’t go back for the world.

10. Joy Without Apology
We don’t tiptoe around our happiness or apologize for our laughter. Joy is not frivolous—it’s fuel. We’ve learned that celebrating the small wins, savoring the silly moments, and finding light even in the shadows is the key to thriving. So we laugh louder, dance longer, and smile wider—because joy is contagious, and this community is proof.

11. Community with Depth
We’re not here for shallow friendships or transactional connections. We choose depth over numbers every time. Our circles may be smaller, but they’re richer, wiser, and built on mutual respect. RBF Boomers create communities that lift each other up, challenge each other to grow, and stick around long after the party ends.

12. Legacy of Truth
We are not here for fleeting applause. Our legacy is written in how we live today—with honesty, courage, and authenticity. When the world looks back at us, let them see a generation that refused to be silenced, softened, or scripted. RBF Boomers live their truth—and in doing so, we leave behind a map for others to follow.

This is who we are. This is RBF Boomer.

Not a trend. Not a hashtag. A movement—built on freedom, truth, and unapologetic joy.
